On November, 15 2017 construction workers near the new Pandora Avatar exhibit at Animal Kingdom of Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida came across a peculiar looking worm. The Flatneck Brown Earthworm was considered extinct for the past fifty years. This recent discovery is the first time biologists have seen the animal alive since alleged last of its kind died in captivity in 1983. Biologists are baffled by the discovery. According to The Endangered Species Act passed in 1973, Disney World will be terminated indefinitely until the species has reached a sustainable population size. The park and its operations pose a major threat to the life of this worm.
