The Montreal Canadiens, who traded fan favorite defensemen P.K. Subban to Nashville in the summer of 2016 have completed a trade to bring him back to La Belle Province. The Canadiens have shipped defensemen Jeff Petry, winger Arturi Lehkonen, prospect Nikita Sherbak and second round draft picks in 2018 and 2020 to Nashville in exchange for Subban. Subban, who is home in Toronto for the Christmas break has yet to officially comment on the deal but he did post to his Instagram account a photograph of him in a Canadiens sweater from his draft day with the comment "I'm coming home" shortly after news of the deal started to filter out.
