WASHINGTON, D.C. (AP) — President Trump took to Twitter Friday afternoon to demand action after dozens of raccoons began making prank phone calls to the White House and other federal offices.
The president tweeted that the clever raccoons had disrupted several high-level White House meetings and even convinced House Speaker Paul Ryan to give them a massive tax cut during a two-hour phone conversation.
"This nonsense makes no sense and must stop," the president tweeted. "I do not have Prince Albert in can! My refrigerator is NOT running! This is bad for the country! Bad!"
A spokesman for Speaker Ryan explained that the raccoons apparently said they represented David Koch and demanded a tax cut on trash cans that had been tipped over onto the sidewalk. The House is scheduled to vote on the tipped-trash-can tax cut sometime in January, according to Ryan's spokesman.
