French icon Jacob Delafon has been selected to lead the newly established Singaporean Ministry of Sanitation. Protests erupted through the streets when a speck of dust was found under a lamp shade in an abandoned room in a condemned building. “ we must tolerate this much filth!” Exclaimed a long-time SG resident, and secret photographer, who would only identify himself as NS. “We must take action!” He continued, citing the discovery of dirt as the first step on a slippery slope where the end would be an orange-haired buffoon taking over the country!
Delafon comes with impressive credentials. He’s been credited with reducing the number of Parisians urinating on the metro to only 3 an hour! A level of cleanliness previously unheard of in the French capital.
Singaporeans remain cautiously optimistic and are willing to give Delafon the benefit of the doubt. “ There are 3 males in my house, all of whom behave like schoolboys” lamented a local Maths teacher, identifying herself only as Sobna A. “Any change can only be for the best!”
Delafon claims to be ready for this daunting task. Time will tell if Singaporeans will stop their protesting and be back singing in the streets again!
