Maple Ridge experienced a blackout to thousands of homes on Feb 16th. The cause was determined to be caused by the gas emissions from cows. Apparently on 2 farms, the livestock were fed a new diet which created gas and bloating. The results were too much for the power lines in the area. Hydro crews are expecting power to be restored after butt plugs are placed in the anal passages of the heifers.
