Dateline Mar-y-Lago: In President Trump's press conference today, he stated, "We are taking action now, with Congress, to pass a law mandating that every student in middle and high school but taught by the NRA professionals how to safely handle and use guns for self-protection. The problem with these horrible school shootings is not that there are too many guns, but that there has been too much Obama regulation that keeps guns out of the hands of defenseless citizens. Arming teachers is not enough. Our children have the right of self-protection, and this legislation I am proposing is the answer. I promise you that the reduction in crime, especially as in school shootings by mentally ill people, will be huge. Unprecedented. I'm ready to sign this executive order right here if Congress can't act responsibly and soon enough. Our prayers are with all those who have been affected by these terrible tragedies."
