Kids in local high schools and colleges have put away their laundry pods in exchange for cephalopods. That's right, squids and octopi are being swallowed whole by kids looking for YouTube followers and a new thrill.
We spoke with local teenager Bryce Bancock who has a YouTube channel featuring himself and his friends swallowing several live tentacled creatures they purchased at local pet shops and Asian grocers. When asked why they are doing it and if they were hoping to go viral he said "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn."
