Iizuka Reveals That Sonic Forces Will Be the Last Modern Sonic Game

In an interview with The Sonic Stadium, Takashi Iizuka was questioned what Sonic Team was planning to do after the release of the newest Sonic the Hedgehog game, Sonic Forces. In reply, Iizuka stated that "We have no plans to create any more 3D Modern Sonic games after Sonic Forces." and that "The fans just don't have any interest in Modern Sonic anymore." This news comes as quite a shock, and makes us wonder how many more shocks are still in store, after the recent announcement that the Sonic Boom Cartoon would be ending after it's second season.
