Cross Ranch near Hensler, ND has always been a nice state park along the river. Located right along the Big Muddy, it’s has been known to be a perfect spot for camping and docking your boat. It wasnt until June of 2013 when some strange things started to happen. Guests that would stay out there for a weekend getaway started reporting mysterious figures in the woods along the Missouri. Blake Nelson of Washburn, and Sari Le May of Center, ND went camping out at cross ranch at the end of the summer 2013. Sari’s friend Samantha Picard reported getting a call from her late one night saying “she was terrified” and that “there was a tall slim figure chasing her”. Neither of the two were ever heard from again after that night and no evidence of what happened or their bodies were never found. Others have reported since then about seeing the strange tall figure in the distance. Morton County and McLean County police Investigated the scene but they didn’t have any evidence or any leads so the case was dropped. The park is still open to the public. The Park Manger Paul Newman just says “use you’re own judgement and beware.”
