Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. — A 45-year-old Florida man has claimed a $30 dollar prize in a scratch-off game.
Florida Lottery officials said in a news release that Jason Vaccarelle of Lauderhill claimed the prize Wednesday in the new “Florida 100X the Cash” scratch-off game.
He purchased the winning ticket at a 7-Eleven in Lauderhill, near Fort Lauderdale on the state’s East Coast.
Officials said Vaccarelle chose a one-time, lump-sum payment of $30 dollars. The retailer will receive no bonus for selling the ticket.
The $30 game was launched Feb. 26 and features eight top prizes of $15 million.
Prizes range from $30 to $15 million. Overall odds are 1 in 2.59, but odds of winning the top prize are slightly less than 1 in 4 million.
