Who doesn't like a good pizza every now and then. Of course if you add the toppings you like and you order it with the crust you like, well then its no longer a pizza but it is pizza your way! Well it was pizza your way until Pizza Hut made the announcement late last month that they would be dropping their stuffed crust from their menu. Pizza Hut said, "Although we had a large group of patrons who enjoyed our stuffed crust, we will no longer be offering it on our menu due to health concerns." So just what are these health concerns? We reached out to Pizza Huts corporate offices in Plano Texas to ask them why. Pizza Hut told us that stuffed crust will be coming off of their menu do to the increased health awareness. Pizza Hut said it's not so much about the cheese but the added crust that is wrapped around the cheese. The added crust adds a significant amount of calories. By removing the stuffed crust option, they are able to cut out approximately 20 of the calories from this menu item. Pizza Hut also said as a leader in quality foods, they would like to lead the way for others to follow. Our question is, is this just the beginning of all good things coming to an end in the fast food world? Whats next, no Reese's in our Blizzards from Dairy Queen?
