IMPD apprehended a man by the name of Arthur Smith age 29 at U pull U pay
940 West 16th st Indianapolis,IN for allegedly stealing auto parts. Employess state that they witnessed Mr.Smith taking $125 worth of auto parts from dodge ram pick up truck this evening. When Officer Dan Mullins arrived on scene, smith became hostile & protective over what appeard to be a radio knob along with other items that he claimed he entered the yard with. The items in question are a steering wheel, cigarette lighter, and a full exhaust system which was found in his duffle bag. Smith slowly calmed down when bologna sandwiches were offered to him as well as a gallon of chocolate milk. Smith finished his meal & started to sprint across the parking lot. He was quickly taking down by metro K9 unit. When asked why he ran he stated while sobbing loudly "I just want to fix my truck" Smith's bond is set at $100,000
