Scarlett Johansson, star of The Avengers: End Game, was recently photographed with her new boyfriend Michael MacIntosh, a state worker from West Sacramento in northern California. MacIntosh, who works in IT, has no connection to the entertainment industry.
The two met at a Comic-Con convention where Johansson was dressed as Groot. MacIntosh only flirted with her because he had no idea she was the famously beautiful actress.
"I actually wasn't that interested in him at first," said Johansson, "but it's hard to get rid of a guy when all you can say is 'I am Groot' repeatedly." His quirky sense of humor eventually won her over and he was shocked when she revealed who she was. The couple has been dating ever since.
"Obviously, I get hit on by famous, attractive men with six pack abs," said Johansson. "Mike is just a dorky nerd with a dad bod, but he makes me laugh."
Johansson did say that, while their relationship was going well, she has told him she will break up with him if he keeps asking her to reveal spoilers from Avengers: Endgame.
"I'll be so relieved after we attend the premiere," said Johansson. "If he asks me one more time, I may go full Black Widow on him. You think I'm joking but you have NO idea how annoying this guy can be."
The two have no plans to tie the knot in the near future, due to Johansson's busy schedule. When MacIntosh was asked whether he considers himself lucky to be dating one of Maxim's Top 100, he responded "Are you @$&?! kidding? I'm just gonna enjoy this until she finally comes to her senses."
