South Carolina, July 18, 2019 - President Donald Trump attended a Ku Klux Klan rally on the evening of July 17, as part of his bid to win a second term as US president in the 2020 presidential election.

President Trump, in a speech to members of the KKK and other groups attending the rally, said "I welcome the support of all Americans who share my political views. I am proud to have the support of the Ku Klux Klan, and I look forward to receiving your votes in the 2020 presidential election".

Trump posed for photos with Klan members after the rally, and took time to autograph several hoods and robes.

President Trump has recently been cultivating the support of the KKK and similar groups, including "Be Active Front USA", "ACT for America", and "Soldiers of Odin", who advocate the expulsion of "people of color" from the United States.
