A Wirral bar owner who was recently lambasted for his disparaging comments against NHS workers before apologising has himself become a hero today after signing up for the NHS Volunteers scheme. Michael Atkinson has also pledged to donate 20,000,000 rupees towards buying essential medical supplies like ventilators for the NHS. In a further gesture of goodwill Mr. Atkinson has agreed to give all NHS workers a 5 discount at his business The Oxton Bar and Kitchen plus a free bowl of olives (green ones not black ones) when it re-opens whenever that may be. Mr. Atkinson commented "On Thursday evening I heard all these cun I mean people clapping and instantly thought if I sign up they will all technically be clapping for me next week!".
