Doug Ford courageously speaks to reporters, explaining the hardships he personally has faced, through tearful eyes.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford deeply apologized to Ontarians Thursday morning, only days after he personally received intense backlash for trying to take new steps toward a new normal.

After his government made some poor decisions regarding the covid 19 health crisis, Premier Doug Ford came forward on their behalf to issue an apology and explain his point of view.

The province was trying to curb mobility in Ontario, he said.

"But we moved too fast," Ford said, with some measures going too far.

"Simply put, we got it wrong. We made a mistake. These decisions, they left a lot of people really concerned," Ford said.

"For that I am sorry, and I sincerely apologize."

Ford acknowledged the mistakes that arised from poor decisions made by his government, with tearful sorrow in his eyes.

Ford explained that the pandemic has hit him hard as well, and that he feels sympathy for those who are suffering, just like him. He sent his condolences to those who have lost someone or something in the last year.

"I understand your frustration," he said. "This experience, this pandemic, it's something that has affected every single person."

It's clear that Ford feels deeply for those affected, and has been personally affected by this pandemic.

His opposition, on the other hand, saw this as a chance to attack based purely on politics.

"Doug Ford knows he's spiralling and that Ontario voters have lost confidence in his ability to manage this emergency," echoed Liberal Leader Steven Del Duca.

The opposition showed once again that they only care about attacking Premier Ford and not about avancing policy, choosing to ignore the new plan Doug Ford announced which would aid those who were unemployed by the pandemic.

"We're now working on our own solution to fill those gaps for everyone in Ontario," Ford said.
