In the recent years, CERN did an experiment with a powerful magnetic field to see what will happen to an object if it goes through a black hole. They found that an object going through a black hole slows down and eventually stops. Their goal is to see if it is possible to use such a thing to leave a black hole. The problem with it is that it will not work as you cannot alter the physical laws of nature and make them work in a way that you want.
Another project is the Large Hadron Collider. It can create smaller particles from a smaller size and the smaller particles can be used to go through the black hole. Again, the particles get through, and the black hole has not had any effect on them, so it cannot destroy the particle. The scientists would be able to learn something, but it would not make the CERN scientists any richer and it is a pretty expensive thing.
For the CERN and their scientist there is no doubt that the universe is the creation of the God in the Judeo-Christian sense. For them it does not matter if there is a God. They believe that science and technology can create anything. Even if God does not exist, his spirit exists and is the same. We could say that the scientists believe in the idea of creation, the idea of evolution, the creation of matter, energy, time and space, and life as well.
For the scientists, all of the things that exist are part of the nature. Even the stars, the planets, the galaxies, the universe, the atoms, the life, and the people, are part of the natural law. They are not miracles, nor were the things that we now can see created by miracles.
For the CERN scientists, the belief in God is not a problem, even if the scientists and the society is not ready to accept the truth of their faith. To them, the belief in God is natural and logical. That is the way of man in his life. As they think, we need a spirit to live and we can't live without a creator of all things.
But if this is really true, and that the natural world is created by an intelligent God, then we must believe in him because we can't do any harm if we believe that he created everything and that is why we see the same things over and over again. We may see the same things in the same way, but there is no reason to believe that what we see and know is all that there is.
