Authorities released the name of the culprit as Tim "Timmy" Sanders, originally from Ardmore and a rabid Tennessee Vol fan. Sanders now resides in Decatur, Ala. Sanders was able to elude authorities for days, but was captured in an area north of Ardmore called "The Tunnels". Saban himself met with Sanders and all charges were dropped. Saban said, "heck if my team of choice was beaten to a bloody pulp as his was, I might just lose my mind too".
