ILLINOIS - A Chicago, Illinois man has claimed his money after winning $40,500,000 in the Illinois Lottery.

Chris William is one of two winners from the $81 million jackpot on July 22. He claimed his prize Tuesday. The second ticket that shared the $40 million jackpot prize was purchased in Virginia.

“I thought it was a dream,” he said. “I kept saying, ‘Yeah, right. This can’t be true.’ ”

William bought the Quik Pik ticket at Tony's Citgo when he was on his way to the Strip Club on Taylor Street.

He said he waited three months to come forward because he wanted to make plans for what to do with the money, according to lottery officials.

He told Illinois Lottery officials he plans to use his winnings on vacation,going to Vegas to gamble, strippers, and share with his family. Chris is the man in the middle of the picture that appears to have some type of affiliation to a gang.

The winning numbers from that drawing were, 8-24-25-26-30, and the Mega Ball was 7.
