VICTORVILLE — Authorities identified a 21 year old woman who was killed when she was struck by a vehicle on Mariposa Rd on Thursday evening.
San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department officials said Angelina Olivares, of Victorville was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred between Bear Valley Rd and Mariposa Rd.
Authorities responded to a report of a hit-and-run collision involving a pedestrian a little before 7:30 p.m. and found Olivares's body in the roadway.
Authorities later told the Daily Press there was not a vehicle description available and additional information was not immediately available.
The San Bernardino county Sheriff's Station Major Accident Investigation Team is conducting the investigation and anyone with information is urged to contact the Victorville station at 760-240-7400.
