Richard ‘Dale’ Uhlmann was found roaming around the 1400 block of Rock Island late last night. He had been connected with the arsen at one of the houses on that block. With Uhlmann, 4 gallons of gasoline, matches, and fire starter. He seemed disoriented, and when interviewed by the Rock Island Police Department, he claimed, “the voices made him do it.” We interviewed some people who knew Uhlmann very well this morning and these were the responses we received. “I never would’ve suspected Dale would’ve done anything in this sort of manner. Yes, he had his days, but who could kill and burn 5 innocent people?” Lance Elfgen of buffalo stated. Elfgen had Uhlmann living with him at the time of arsen. “I knew Ol’ boy would do something like this. I mean he’s from Missouri.” stated Ernie Anderson, neighbor is Elfgen and Uhlmann.
