Alabama Man Charged With Aggravated Assault

On Saturday evening, the Eclectic Police Department received multiple calls, beginning at around 6:30 PM, from the local Piggly Wiggly.
The calls allegedly reported a man destroying property at the store. One woman described him "having big black claws" and another included that he had "red beating eyes." Police officials were led to believe that the calls were part of a Halloween prank, and so multiple reports were made until officials showed up at the scene. It was made very clear that he may have been under the influence of methamphetamines.
When police arrived, there were many people scattered along the store, hiding in back rooms and inside bathrooms. There were shopping carts thrown around and broken glass was laid along the floor. Multiple shelves of merchandise were completely destroyed along with broken alcoholic beverages spilled everywhere. Multiple victims were rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, including an elderly couple, and a six-year old girl.
Tanner Dooley, 24, resident of Eclectic AL was charged with aggravated assault. No drug test results have been released yet. He has been placed in solitary confinement until the cause of his actions are made clear.
