Limerick man up in court after verbal abuse of a Garda

Limerick man Niall Counihan was this morning brought before a judge in the Limerick district court ccharge with a verbal assault on Garda Mike Hunt on St Patrick's road on Saturday night last.
Garda Hunt went on to tell the court that the defendant came to his attention due to the nature of his Halloween costume. He was dressed aa batman and Garda hunt is a huge but thought that the defendants costume was of no resemblance to batman whatsoever. Niall told Garda hunt to "fuck off you fat bastard" and proceeded to remove his costume and began flexing his muscles in the direction on Garda Hunt.
The court was adjourned until Friday November 4th.
