Boris Johnson has announced that the government is close to signing an agreement with former African colonies that is intended to soften the finacial blow of Brexit. The deal is reported to include similar conditions to that of the European Union relating to free trade and freedom of movement and employment within the participating nations.

The announcement has been almost unilateraly welcomed by all former African colonies with only South Africa being the exception. South Africa's Minister for Foreign Affairs Maite Emily Nkoana-Mashabane said that her government see a Union in Africa led by the UK as a step backwards and that her country needs to move away from the Colonial Age and not towards it.

The agreement that could be signed as early as next week is to be officially announced next week in Westminster but Mr Johnson was quoted as saying "this country needs some good news and quickly". Mr Johnson claims that the agreement will instantly help those British companies find new trading partners for those likely to be lost from the EU and insure that British Industry has the necessary pool of workers to sustain economical growth in the short term. If succesful it's though that a similar deal could be made with Britain's former Asian Colonies.
