Tucson indoor football team owner Kevin Guy announced that his team would be named the Turkeys. The name seems very apropos since Guy is also the head coach of the rival and well-established Arizona Rattlers. Both teams will play in the IFL, so Guy will coach against the team he owns three times in the 2019 season. The Turkeys will be playing their first year in the IFL and then they will move to the CIF for 2020. Guy will then resign from the Rattlers to coach the Turkeys full time.
