Butler hit 83 -- second only to the legendary 100 scored by Wilt Chamberlain in 1962 and surpassing Kobe Bryant's 81 point game in 2006 against the Raptors. -- on 29 of 46 from the floor, knocking down 7 of 13 from three point range and going 18 of 20 from the free throw line. He pulled down six rebounds and dished out a pair of assists, just for good measure.

With the Bulls trailing by 11 points in the third quarter, they needed just about everything Butler had on Tuesday night.

"That was something that just happened," Butler said in after the game. "It's tough to explain. It's just one of those things.

"It really hasn't, like, set in for me. It's about the 'W,' that's why I turned it on. It turned into something special. To sit here and say I grasp what happened, that would be lying."

He scored 17 points in the first quarter, 12 in the second quarter, 27 in the third and 28 (of the team's 31 total points) in the fourth quarter.

Amazingly, Butler had just 33 points against the Celtics Monday night prior.
