Monday, May 8th started off as a normal day in the big city. Unbeknownst to the morning commuters who frequent the streets of New York, a mid to large sized wild boar was set free by a group of teen pranksters. What started off as a simple prank quickly turned into a massive panic.
Witnesses say the cause of the injuries were mostly directly related to the violent boar ramming and thrashing those who were in his path. One man interviewed by the police made a statement which painted a vivid picture of the events that had transpired.
"It was like Vietnam all over again. There was blood in the streets, children and women crying screaming, just like in the movies."
Another man was quoted saying, "I thought it was just a pig... But after a short analysis i realized that this was a full blown boar. By that time it was too late and i found myself on my back with blood covering my black jacket. I felt like i had just been hit by a bus."
The city police responded quickly and with force. Multiple gunshots rang out but the boar was not phased until one struck him in the heart. Before he had been taken down, however, the damage had already been done. Three NYPD officers were found dead at the scene with lacerations up and down their bodies. It was clear that no man had committed these acts.
Updates on the scene will follow as the case develops, but New York Cities Chief of Police has issued a statement warning those responsible: "We will find you. We will bring justice. We will kill you"
