Cleveland's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is finally recognizing little-known musician Jennifer Freeman in a ceremonial induction slated for September 9, 2017.
Ms. Freeman, a very talented pianist and vocalist who has performed with bands such as The Wailing Tuesdays and Saturday Night Tempest, will be receiving the highest honors at next month's reception, and will be performing her latest song Mean People Really Suck in front of thousands of attendees.
"I'm just surprised that she wasn't inducted sooner", said director Frank Jones who was on hand to answer some of Channel 8's questions. "She has a very distinctive style, and we are honored to have her."
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, located on the shore of Lake Erie in downtown Cleveland, Ohio, recognizes and archives the history of the best-known and most influential artists, producers, and engineers.
"Freeman definitely deserves this", added Jones. "Her piano soundscapes are hypnotic, and she ranks up there with legends such as Janis Joplin and Minnie Pearl."
