A D.C. man was arrested and charged with murder after allegedly killing another man on the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail in Washington last month. At around 8:30 a.m. on July 26, officers responded to the 3300 block of East Capitol Street SE for the report of a shooting, D.C. police said in a statement. They found 37-year-old Victor Williams of Southeast dead in a park near the East Capitol Street Bridge after suffering gunshot wounds.
On Thursday, police said they arrested 41-year-old Wandell Roy of Northeast in connection with the shooting, and he was charged with first-degree murder while armed.
