In a series of leaked emails between Comcast Chairman and Chief Brian Roberts and Bob Eatroff, Vice President of Global Corporate Development and Strategy, a scaffold of a new and "innovative" fee structure was put discussed. The two most "promising" options discussed were putting various internet services behind a pay wall, where customers would pay an additional fee to access services like face book or lowering already present data caps and "allowing" customers to pay a fee to allow certain services not to count against their data caps, such as Netflix, Hulu, and Youtube. The emails went on to discuss the merits of allowing these other services to innovate and grow while they take an additional piece of the pie, or hamstringing services they view as competitors like Netflix so that Comcast will be the only practical option for streamers, thus curtailing the current trend of cord cutting. In reality this entire article is merely a ruse to both show you what has already happened in other countries without net neutrality laws, and highlight things greedy companies like Comcast have already tried and been taken to court over. Don't be an idiot, contact your representatives and make your voice heard. Just Google their contact info, before you have to pay an additional fee for every search you make on Google.
