A Woman who hit a man over the head with and axe landed herself in court has been spared jail. Nikki Walker, 30 appeared at Sunderland magistrates court after pleading guilty to getting into a fight with a male then hitting him over the head with an axe. The court heard Walker, who previously served a prison sentence for beating a man with a baseball bat has since turned her life around. She received 16 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months. she was also ordered to do 120 hours of unpaid work and pay a victim surcharge of £100.
