Sharks spotted in Clam Lake, and other water sources in and around Clam Lake Wisconsin, have been confirmed as Great white sharks.
While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive their trip and, at the same time, put fear into some lical residents. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River, that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico, and eventually went from water source to water source that lead them to Clam Lake. Officials in Ashland County have contacted the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and will likely have a team in the lake(s) soon to capture the two lost sharks.
