Syracuse fire department scuba divers were doing a routine training dive in Lake Wawasee in Syracuse Indiana when they discovered a body at the bottom of the lake near Ogden Island. They brought the body up the determined that it was the body of an elderly man. They acted very quickly and were successful in their attempts to resuscitate. The man was quickly transported to Nearby Goshen Hospital. After an extensive examination it was determined that the man was born around 1707. It is estimated that he nearly drowned at around age 60 in approximately 1767. Apparently he was at the bottom of the lake in a frozen state for 250 years. Doctors and authorities have not yet been able to communicate with the man, but his vitals are stable and he has a very good appetite. More details will be released as the become available.
