While angling for walleyes, legendary catfish and sturgeon guide Capt Brian Klawitter hooked into what turned out to be the world record willow cat.
Fishing with Spam the huge willow cat slammed the famous bait made in Austin MN and the fight was on! It took over 2 hours to land the fish. The battle was witnessed by two other local anglers, Jesse Krook and Tim Miller Jr. Both have signed statements saying as much.
Because of the catch, Capt BK as he's locally know will be inducted into the National Fresh Water Hall of Fame.
