Led Zeppelin, the famed rock band from London, England, and the sixth-best selling artist of all-time, has announced that they will be kicking off a reunion tour in February 2018. The band was supposed to kick of a North American tour in October 1980, but drummer John Bonham died in September of that year. Now, they are rescheduling that tour, along with many more tour dates around the world, their first set of concerts since their performance at the Ahmet Ertegun Tribute Concert in London in December 2007. To replace Bonham, the band has recruited Neil Peart of Rush to join them on the tour.

Peart, who drummed for Rush from 1974 until he announced his retirement in 2015, has accepted the offer. In 2015, Rush announced that they would retire from large-scale touring. This will be Peart's first time touring since the R40 Live Tour, which lasted from May 18 to August 1, 2015. He says that he is excited to start a new chapter in his life.

The tour will kick off February 3, 2018, at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. Any fans who bought tickets to their aborted 1980 tour will automatically be given free tickets to a concert of their choice. Tickets go on sale this Friday, October 13.
