On June 25th, a local fisherman nearly reeled in the largest, large mouth on record on Geist Reservoir. As the image clearly shows, local resident Rodney Schlossbucker has what researchers are calling the largest bull shark ever caught on film north of Kentucky Lake. Marine biologist, Mick Hogan, noted in an interview with the Schlossbucker that his fishing line was broken before they could reel in what would have clearly been the big winner at Sunday's big bass tournament. Although, tournament officials noted that all sharks are disqualified from competition according to local and national bass tournament officials of the BFAA (Bass Fisherman Association of America). The search is still underway for the nearly 4 foot pup, and local and state officials are asking that all people and animals stay out of the reservoir until further notice. For more details, please contact local authorities or Geist Marina.
