Coors lite will end production and distribution by the end of 2017. Declining sales are rumored to be the reasoning behind. MillerCoors LLC hit a milestone in the first quarter of 2016: sales of Miller Lite and Coors Light held steady compared with the year before for the first time since Miller and Coors joined forces, now sales have declined to such a degree it will be more cost effective to stop production of Coors brand. .
