Rumours of the Canadian Football League switching from the current 110 yard field with 20 yard end zones, to the standard American field of 100 yards with 10 yard end zones, surfaced on CFL forums, and subreddit r/CFL earlier this week. In an interview with league commissioner Randy Ambrose, he was quoted as saying "It's definitely something we're considering. It would improve scoring, and player safety." He later said he saw it as more of a long term goal. "But I think that we could expect to see four downs and eleven players on the field as early as 2019."
