Michigan's basketball team went home this afternoon, choosing not to play Monday night in the NCAA Championship Tournament Title Game.
"They destroyed Kansas, but we refuse to lose." said a group of players leaving the locker room safe space.
"Sorry, our guys don't want to risk injury in a game we could only lose." said an asst coach speaking on condition of anonymity. "It may have a non-beneficial impact on possible professional careers."
Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel is expected to name a time & place for a national champions celebration in case students may want to identify as a national champ.
