Archeologists are baffled at the recent discovery of several electronic devices buried in a 1700-year-old Mayan temple in Honduras, about 50 miles west of Tegucigalpa.

The purpose of the devices has not yet been determined, but some scientists theorize that the Mayans may have invented an early form of television. Carbon dating of the devices places their creation around 300 AD, during the Classic period of Mayan civilization.

Professor Mayor Geovanni of the Metropolitan University of Honduras commented, "Truly this is the most puzzling archaeological discovery in recent decades. Clearly the Mayans were far more advanced than previously believed."

While some in Honduras have been speculating about ancient aliens, Geovanni says that these devices are almost certainly made by ancient Mayans without aid from extraterrestrial sources.
