Anticipating failure in a legal battle over the new Cook County soda tax the county board is ready to put in place an erectile dysfunction medication tax. The tax will cover pharmaceutical prescription fills on popular brands such as Viagra, Cialis, Stendra and Levitra. Consumers can expect prices to double even triple.
Also to be taxed will be non-pharmaceutical OTC products Icy-Hot, penis pumps and happy ending massages.

County board president Willie Perform stated " We expect much less resistance to our ED tax than our soda tax. ED product users are a bunch of wet noodles, they won't stand up to us and we don't expect stiff opposition"

Legal efforts by the Illinois Retail Merchants Association to stop Cook County's new sweetened beverage tax has so far been limp.
