Rumours have been swirling around the new season ever since last year's finale, with fans assuming Daenerys will finally revisit Westeros, the Starks will reunite, and the White Walkers will keep pushing south. But will Daenerys meets Westeros' most recent royal, Cersei? Will Jon Snow take on the Night's King again? And will The Mountain finally fight The Hound?
Plus, with Ed Sheeran popping up in a cameo and Jim Broadbent taking on a "significant role", there are a lot of new characters to root for (before they are inevitably killed off).
Here's where the delay is. Chairman and Cheif Executive Officer of HBO Richard Plepler stated on 7/16/17 around 12pm ET that the much anticipated season 7 premiere will be on a hold until the following Sunday, 7/23/17. Upon the release of this season, many of the cast members did not like the script of this season and requested an update. Without explict detail, he stated "Many of the members said they did not agree with how some of the events turned out, and requested a change" anticipating many of the fans will be in outrage.
There is no update as of right now.
