Royal Oak Police said a 22-year-old man tried to take off on foot carrying more than a dozen Kit Kat bars from CVS Pharmacy last Thursday.
That's when Christy Thorne, 35, Royal Oak, launched at the man and gave him a blow to his stomach.
"I've never seen anything like it. She's pretty tiny, but she punched him so hard he fell to the floor and about a dozen or so Kit Kats scattered around him." Said CVS worker, Jessica Barner.
"He's a punk." Thorne said. "I've seen him try to steal Milky Ways and Wonka products."
The 22 year-old identified as Joe Martini, was sentenced to community service and he is forbidden to shop at CVS on Fourth and Philips in Royal Oak.
"We don't take chocolate stealing lightly." Said store manager, Wanda Johnson. "He tried to take off with more than he could chew."
Thorne is a member of Planet Fitness and says protein shakes and strength training help her ward off shady characters.
