A 20 year old thug, known locally as Nathan Coupland, was at court this afternoon for allegedly being off nut and knocking a 80 year old man out down priory street and stole his mobility scooter on Friday 24th September at around 4am after coming home from a night up town . A few minutes after this incident reports were made that Coupland was driving down east hill shouting for his “horse” to go faster! “He was off nut you could tell,his jaw was swinging it was scary” said Tracy wall. Coupland reports no memory of this night and is adiment it wasn’t him,and claims he loves a good sniff up but only on a weekend and nothing too serious.The public and Colchester police are worried for the 80 year olds welfare and was wondering if anyone knows why he was out so late. Officer Carly Saunders stated “for anyone who knows Mr Malcolm personally we like information as to why he was out at this time in the morning,it could’ve been prevented and could’ve been less worse” Colchester crown court has charged Mr Coupland 2 years in prison for the offence for theft and serious GBH on a old man causing serious damage and possession and use of illegal substances.
