The final paperwork was signed on Friday 14 of July 2017 that ends a long run for Ford as it ends its 104 year era as an American company.
The Chinese company known as the Dalian Wanda Group has purchased Ford for an undisclosed amount. Wang Jianlin the chairman of the group is excited about the transaction. Mr. Jianlin is quoted as saying "Big changes are coming".
It's suspected that Mr. Jianlin will be moving much of the design and engineering to China as well as the headquarters. Ground has already been broken for the state of the art facility and is said to be completed by 2021.
