On August 21, 2017, darkness will sweep across the land. Far from an ill omen, these two minutes will offer Americans an astronomical gift like no other — a total solar eclipse.

HOWEVER, the time that scientist predicted of 9:05 am, is going to be off by 12 hours, the actual eclipse will not begin to occur until 9:05 pm far past the time where it will be visible on earth.

Scientist explain the mix up as an egregious error on their part, and those that predicted the time at the Exploritor base site are extremely sorry for such a large and extreme time difference. Astronomers stated that they were going by the 24 hour clock system, however, when predicting the time, the 24 hour clock was reverted back to the standard time and instead of the 21:05 time, the clock showed the 9:05 time.

What does this mean for the millions of people that have literally spent millions of dollars to arrange travel and accommodation arrangements? Most of the hotel reservations that were made will NOT be refunded by the proprietors stating that most required a special 30 day cancellation notice for this event, and it past the 30 days.

States in the direct path are looking to lose billions in revenue over the mistake.

We will update you as more information comes in.
