The Longview City Council met on Tuesday to discuss the issue of the constant complaints from local businesses about the new trend of "painted rock hunting".
According to city council member, Mike Wallin several businesses have repeatedly complained to the police as well as the city council. "The city council feels it has no choice but to come up with a solution for our local businesses and we feel that solution is to ban all rock hunting inside city limits", Mike Wallin stated.
The council will meet again on the issue before the end of the month to decide when that ban will be in place, possibly as early as November.
